Dr Brajeshwar Mishra
Born in 1957, Dr Brajeshwar Mishra is an Ayurvedic practitioner and therapist. Since 2004 he has been the Director of the Research Institute of Herbal Medicine, and since 2010 the Superintendent of the Ayurvedic Panchkarma Hospital, in Motihari, Bihar. He worked for many years as an Ayurvedic Medical Officer in State Ayurvedic Dispensaries in Ranchi and Sahibganj.
Dr Mishra graduated from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Bihar University in 1979, and holds qualifications in Herbal Medicine from the Open International University for Complimentary Medicine, Sri Lanka.
Dr Mishra has carried out research on the effects of yoga nidra in the management of 1) rheumatoid arthritis and 2) psychosomatic disease, and also on the immunological effects of yoga nidra in people with HIV/AIDS. He has received numerous awards for his research and education work.
